#467 - The "Not All There" Kaori Kimono

"The kimono is a traditional Japanese garment." It is normally a floor length robe "and the word "kimono" actually means a 'thing to wear'." (Wikipedia )  This kimono, the +FC+ Kaori, is missing some of its length! Hence the title of my post. It is a simple yet beautiful garment and they come in so many beautiful patterns. Even if they are a solid color, I always think they are so elegant and beautiful. This is a sexy version of the kimono and you will find this one new in the store at Facepalm Clothing. Made for both the Standard and Mesh body avatars it includes the following sizes: Standard Mesh sizes (XS - XL), Bellezas, Slinks, Tonics, Ebody, Maitreya and TMP.

The kisetsu World Tour Gift Getas (sandals) were the hunt gift from the World Tour Hunt from May 2018.

The kisetsu - Sakkou hair is a traditional Japanese style hair worn by maiko for a week before they become geisha. Very pretty, with silver wires wrapped around parts of the hair. It is unrigged mesh, hud controlled with 5 accessory textures. 20 hair colors/pack and materials options, the hairbase is not included. This hair is available at the current SaNaRae event which ends on June 18th.

The makeup seen here is from *Booty's Beauty* and they are the Catwa Lashes set ~ Vice, Catwa Makeup ~ Kaldorei (liner/shadow) and the Catwa Lipstick ~ Hot Tamale. The Kaldorei liner and shadow can be tinted and has lashes, liner and shadow and a face tattoo around the eyes. They can be tinted using your main Catwa hud. On the eyeshadow seen here, the blue line is the tintable portion of the shadow.

Also from kisetsu are the new 3Ayame Kanzashi in bright Spring colors, these are the Mixed Yellow Bridge, Hana and Small Kanzashi. And they are available now in the kisetsu store. There are 5 color versions to choose from, all in bright Spring colors you are sure to enjoy!

These are the EKC - Twisted Sockdolanger Omega Nails. One of two special sets of nails created for this event! This event runs through June and raises money for a great cause! #446 - New Animated Furisode Kimono @ Kurenai

Yes! You read that title right, there is an animated kimono at the Kurenai Event this month for the ladies! There are animations built into the kimono so when you wear it, you do not need a special AO for your movement in this kimono.

KISETSU - ANIMATED FURISODE KIMONO - SAKURA HUD

This is the kisetsu - Animated Furisode Kimono. It's movements are built in to the clothing itself. So there is a standing pose with hands in front of you as you might normally see someone standing with a kimono on. There is a walking animation too when you move around. There are demos at the event for you to try it out too. It is quite beautiful! Here you see Unyque wearing the Furisode Kimono with the Sakura Hud fabrics applied to it. 

Once you purchase the Full set of this kimono, there are optional huds and Furisode Obi to get even more options on the fabrics. Above Unyque is wearing it on the Slink Hourglass body with the appropriate alpha cuts for it to fit her well.

KISETSU - ANIMATED FURISODE KIMONO - KURENAI HUD & OFUKU HAIR

Here I am wearing it on the Maitreya Lara Mesh Body and using the Kurenai Hud. This is the standing pose when wearing the Furisode kimono. Hands lightly clasped in front of you. There are lovely fabrics included in each hud too.

This is also the kisetsu - Ofuku hair that was recently released in the store. It has so many colors huds with some varied colors you would not normally see in this style hair (I think!). So it can be used for many kinds of fantasy roleplay or just to be different! I kinda have a thing for wild colors lately. I am liking a lot of the new colors creators are coming out with now. Also, the ribbon on the top front of the hair (not shown) can be removed too. And there are a few options for the bun fabric, pins and ribbon (accessories) attached to the hair. It is also resize-able and unrigged too! A very lovely hair to have!

And, if you haven't been to the sim lately, make sure you stop by! It's been redecorated and rearranged, the store entrances are closer together now and there may be more stores joining the four stores here already. So new buildings and more photo opportunities abound!  And there is still more to come too.

#419 - Home For A Relaxing Night

Readying myself for a relaxing night at home, I gathered myself in front of the fireplace. I wrapped myself in a comfy kimono and knelt to warm myself for a bit.

KISETSU - TSUMAMI KANZASHI - 3 UME @ KURENAI

I haven't yet removed the Ume Kanzashi from my hair, they are so pretty I don't want to take them out so soon! These are the kisetsu - Tsumami Kanzashi - 3 Ume in White that you will find at the Kurenai event. The Asian Fashion Bi-Montly Event which runs until February 28th.

And those nails you see are from Dark Passions and they were at the 4Mesh event (now ended). These are shown on the EMPIRE Coffin Mesh Nails & Maitreya feet. Very sorry, I had my dates mixed up and missed adding this photo earlier while the event was still open. :(

Above you see the exclusive color kanzashi in Red and Black and then the Pink Alternate. There are 5 more to choose from at the Kurenai event. There are 8 sets you can choose from including one event exclusive which can only be purchased at the event. You cannot get that one after the event, so if you like the exclusive color (Red & Black) you must purchase it at the event while it is still open.

KISETSU - HINA MATSURI DOLLS GACHA SET @ THE GACHA GARDEN

I was also admiring the fact that I completed my collection of Hina Matsuri Dolls! This is quite a big collection and they are so cute! I have them all set up on the RARE Hinadan (Cabinet). There are 5 rares in this set along with 19 Commons. A very beautiful set to have in your home!

#357 - Introducing kisetsu a.k.a. Anachron @ SaNaRae & The Kurenai (New Event) - October Round

First, with the more familiar event, SaNaRae. Anachron has been a regular participant in this event. It will still be a regular participant but now under the name of kisetsu. This will be the new brand name of this particular splinter from Anachron. Instead of the Anachron name (which will cease to exist eventually) you will now see the Japanese cultural items under the new brand name of kisetsu. Same great items just a new name!

KISETSU - KAGO - AUTUMN - NASU USAGI

What you see above is an ozashiki kago that is similar to those taken to engagement by geisha and maiko (apprentice geisha). It comes with a hud and poses that will work with Bento hands. I am using the Belleza Freya Body above and it does not have bento hands. It has two poses for the hands and use of one or both arms to hold the kago. There are also different fabrics, basket and cord colors to choose from and customize your kago, and also an extra feature that allows you to add your own label embroidery to the corner. You will find this kago and three more at the current SaNaRae event which ends on October 18th.

Anachron is, as I write this, splintering into four themed separate themed stores all with new brand names as follows:

kisetsu - for traditional(ish) japanese items.
HashBang - for cyberpunk/urban/punkish stuff.
Dreaming Thicket - for fantasy and (pre-20th century) historical items.
Maraschino - for 20th century retro and vintage.

So be on the lookout for these newly branded items from the previously familiar Anachron!

For the new Kurenai event, kisetsu has created kanzashi (hair accessories) in the shape of kiku (chrysanthemum) which is seasonal for October. The exclusive color (red/yellow/green) will only ever be available from this event. There are three pieces to each set and they are available in one exclusive color and four more color combinations. Kurenai is a new event for Japanese/Asian Fashion.

#221 - Winter Solstice At The Mystic Realms - Begins Dec 9th

Opening today is the Winter Solstice at the Mystic Realms! This sim is so amazingly pretty! It appears as if you are walking on water among the ice barrel shops. E.V. E. has done such an amazing job on the landscaping and decoration of the sim. It is very simple and the Igloo's and Frozen Windows are also available at the current We Love RolePlay! If you are not into fantasy items, do not fret, there are plenty of items here to cater to more than just fantasy looks. 

Anachron is here with the loveliest of her Fitted Kimono sets. Very wintry white and pastel colors are the sets that are available here at the Winter Solstice Event. I love the purely white look of this kimono with the green options.

These pieces can be purchases separately or in specific bundles. They are mesh pieces and are set to attached to different body parts so they are interchangeable with each other. #163 - Anachron Mix & Match Kimonos - Two Sets Equals Lots Of Combinations

Anachron has a bunch, well, a couple of bunches of kimonos for you to mix and match to make your own set! There is one bunch at the Lost and Found Event. This event runs from August 22nd to September 1st. There will be full kimono sets for sale and accessories to add on to create your own look. And here is only one combination from this first bunch.

RETRO KIMONO SET @ LOST & FOUND EVENT : BOLD RETRO BLACK ASANOHA TOP & SKIRT & ADDED ACCESSORIES

Each kimono set will come with neutral colored accessories and you can purchase the other accessories to change your look and create a different combination. These are fitted mesh pieces and the tops come with a HUD that will allow you to display a number of Montsuki emblems on the top in either 1, 3 or 5 areas of the top. And you have the option of 8 colors for those Montsuki, AND, you do have the option of modifying the colors that are available too (please read the included note card for those instructions)!!!

You also see here hair and shoes from Anachron. The shoes are from a previous event in April this year, The Shoe Project. These are the Anachron - Koma Geta Urushinuri shoes. And they are available in the Main store now. They are standard mesh and not rigged so you can position them if you need to and I am wearing them on the Maitreya Lara Mesh Body (& Feet). And they look great with this color of the Retro Kimono. And, the hair is also from Anachron - Geisha Shimada Hair - Noirette is also available in the store!
