#307 - A Twisted Fairytale Indeed - Mooonlitecat Creations

The Twisted Fairytales Sales & Mini Hunt RFL Event has a great many items from many amazing merchants. As I bring you today's item by Moonlitecat Creations, I have only associated this creature with a beloved Disney character. As is the Twisted Events way, these merchants put a very different spin on these stories, and the story will not be the same as those we already know about. I can look at their interpretations with awe and amazement in many cases, and this is one of those cases! Bare with me, as this scenario I've envisioned is quite grim and a little disturbing.

Our world as we know it is still quite lush and green. We still have the chance to try to turn around the effects of pollution and stop our expansion into the lush worlds that have been little explored (at least we hope we still have the chance) and heal our planet. But, what if  we couldn't and it was already over for us humans? What if these mythical creatures actually existed and we just never knew? And if they were a few of the final surviving beings on our planet? How would they look trying to survive the effects of  our excesses? Maybe the sea offered them much more protection than the land we lived on, a protection and abundance we could not completely take away from them. I think these once majestic mythical creatures may have to deal with circumstances something like this:

After donning this avatar, the MLCC Dead Mermaid Avatar, I could more easily envision the struggle the mermaids could be in, in a world bereft of most of its resources and original splendor.  She (or he) would be much thinner than I would think a healthy mermaid to be. Struggling to find uncontaminated food or much of anything healthy and nourishing to satisfy the hunger she fights. But, it is also quiet on the remote places where she can steal away and enjoy the sites humans so often took for granted. Finding herself upon a rock in a beautiful bay watching the sun set, again ushering along the end of the day. Which means, there is a new day ahead. Yes, she is thin, but she still has her gorgeous colors so that she may still draw those weary sailors into the depths of the sea to be hers....forever. If there are such beings still around...

But then as time goes on, she begins to loose that brilliant color and little by little she begins to deteriorate. Slowly she loses the bright colors that helped her capture the eyes of those who seem to now be long gone. Her hair has even lost its color and becomes faded and white as if aging like a human.

Finally, she can find not much else to keep herself well and alive and at her favorite spot, is where she fades away from the life she once knew. The algae now clinging to her remaining body, hair and bones, where she still sits unable to continue on, but wanting to be in the spot that brought her so much joy before it became so hard to go on. She continues on to the mystical hereafter where she joins her friends, family and other sea creatures who've gone before her.

#306 - Be Like Tink @ Twisted Fairytales (& Soul SE Skins)

Flitting around the faire grounds, Tink couldn't find a better place to stop and observe my surroundings. The Medieval Faire is over now, but there is yet another Relay for Life Event not far away. Twisted Fairytales is still going on and you should find plenty of items from many, many creators there for your roleplay and costume needs. For instance, Brick-a-Brack has this adorable Be Like Tink Avi and it is complete from head to toe including the skin (which is not featured here). The Be Like Tink Avi perfectly captures the adorable little fairy herself, Tinkerbell and there are two versions. The first is for standard height avatars and you can also get the Petite size too, in the Yabusuka Petite Avatars! Both are available at the Brick-a-Brack store at the Twisted Fairytales RFL Sales & Mini Hunt Event.

BRICK A BRACK - BE LIKE TINK AVI (STANDARD SIZE)  & .:SOUL:. GYOUKO SE AMARETTO (@APPLIQUE EVENT)

This is the standard avatar sized version of the Be Like Tink Avi. It includes all you see on my avatar with the exception of the ears and jewelry. Very, very cute! I felt like the tiny little fairy as I wander around looking for a nice spot to rest. You can find Brick-a-Brack at the Twisted Fairytales RFL Event thru June 30th.
The skin seen here (Tink Avi - above & below) is not the skin that comes with the Be Like Tink Avi. It is one of two newest releases from .:Soul:. at the current Applique Event. This skin is a Special Edition skin called Gyouko SE Amaretto & Male Version: Ginko [SE Amaretto]. It is a fair skin and comes with many appliers including the Omega Appliers. There are just as many head appliers included (Omegas too) and some ear and mouth appliers specific to .:Soul:. products. Found only at the Applique Event.

MIGHT BE TINK GACHA - TINK TYPER

There is also a Might Be Tink Gacha and that is also at the event. You can find it here. And here is a picture of the Tink Typer, one item from the Might Be Tink Gacha. This little fairy laying on the laptop appears in front of you when you wear the typer and begin typing in local chat. Very cute! One item from the Might Be Tink Gacha set.

Since this is not the skin for the Be Like Tink Avi, it was very hard to try to match this skin for the ears, but that could also be me! I am not good at matching when I have to do it myself. So I've left them as they are and unless you are very close (as seen above) you really won't notice it. The ears here are also from Brick-a-Brack, the Elven Ears.  The skin for the Be Like Tink Avi is a lighter and sparkly skin which comes with Belleza, Slink and Omega Appliers.

Next is a darker shade skin from .:Soul:. and the second new Special Edition release found only at the Applique Event.

#305 - Castle Mall by Anachron @ The Twisted Fairytales Event

ANACHRON - DARK CITADEL CASTLE GATE @ TWISTED FAIRYTALES 

Today I have a rather large item to blog for you. For those who love castles or are looking for a Castle Mall, Anachron has some pieces to create just that and you can see them inworld all set up at the Twisted Fairytales RFL Event! Come take a look at this fantastic build! I kinda cheated here to show you this and took pictures at the event itself since this build is huge! 800+ prims when fully rezzed! What you see above is the Anachron - Dark Citadel Castle Gate (gates not included, only the walls of the gate). This section includes the two towers on either side of the Gate. The actual castle buildings are the build, not the walkways and extras you see around it. I will show you the pieces in a bit. Lots of pics to come!

DARK CITADEL TOWER SHOP, CASTLE SHOPS & OUTER CORNER

Here is another shot, and all of these are with added windlight for the pictures. It's much brighter than this at the event. This is from the left: Castle Tower Shop, Castle Shops and the Outer Corner pieces. They all fit very neatly together with the shadows on the sides seem to me to make it much easier to place them into interlocking positions. To make it all look seamless and one full build. The rezzer does rez the complete mall between 800 - 900 prims total. 

DARK CITADEL CORNER SHOP

You can walk along the top and thru the top level towers too. This is all stone textures on the Anachron -Dark Citadel buildings. There is a second lighter version available at the event as well, which you will see further below. This picture is the Dark Citadel Corner Shop Which is one of the larger shops in the build. There are separate stairways pieces to go up to the top level that can be added. But the shops below are all walled and separate from each other. 

DARK CITADEL TRI CONNECT SECTION

This is the Dark Citadel Tri Connect section piece. It includes the stairs to lead to the top level here. And there I am on the top level over the Castle Shop in the middle so you can get an understanding of the scale or size of this build. Now for the other pieces!
